Privacy Policy

Linterx (“we”), operated by Ben Gueta, Israel, runs the Linterx launcher, the website linterx.com and the apps we distribute, and is responsible for your personal data (the “controller”). This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and your choices. Questions or requests: info@linterx.com.

• Account: your email, name if you give one, your password (stored only as a hash), whether your email is confirmed, your Google name and email if you sign in with Google, and a profile photo if you add one (kept as a small square; replacing or removing it deletes the old one).
• Purchases: your plan, its status and renewal dates. Card details go to our payment provider, never to us.
• Apps: which apps you install, which versions, and when your launcher last checked for updates and licences.
• AI features: the model, cost and app of each request, to meter usage. What you send is passed to the AI provider to produce the answer; we do not keep it.
• App data: what an app you use saves in Linterx cloud storage, kept for that app only.
• Website: pages visited, how you arrived (referrer and campaign links), country, browser, device type, and actions such as downloads, sign-ups and purchases — measured without cookies and without storing anything on your device.
• Optional website analytics, only if you accept it on our website: how you use our pages — clicks, scrolling and a recording of the page, with anything you type hidden — and a cookie that recognises your next visit. If you decline, your visit is only counted, with no cookie and no recording. Pages for your account, sign-in, applications and payment are never recorded.
• Messages and applications: what you send us, such as support emails or a developer application (name, email, phone, links and what you tell us).
• Technical: IP address, error reports and logs, used to keep the service running and secure.

To provide the Service, process payments and licences, keep accounts and systems secure and prevent abuse, answer you, understand how the Service is used and improve it, send service messages (receipts, security, changes), send news and offers about Linterx (you can unsubscribe at any time), and meet legal obligations. We may use aggregated or de-identified information, which no longer identifies you, for any purpose. We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

Where the law asks for a legal basis: the contract with you, our legitimate interests in running, securing and growing the Service, your consent where it is required, and legal obligations.

We share personal data only as needed with providers that work for us under contract:

• Payments: Polar, our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, invoices and taxes under its own privacy policy.
• Sign-in: Google, if you choose “Sign in with Google”.
• Hosting, storage and backups: the servers and cloud storage that run Linterx.
• Email delivery, and error monitoring.
• Optional website analytics: PostHog, in the European Union — only if you accept it.
• AI model providers, for the AI features you use.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to protect our rights, users or the public, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. A current list of our providers is available on request.

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Account data for as long as your account is open, then only as long as we need it for legal, tax, accounting or security reasons. Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule. Website statistics are kept in aggregate; optional analytics recordings are deleted after 30 days.

We use the cookies the Service needs to work: signing you in, keeping you signed in securely, and completing a sign-in with Google. The launcher keeps its sign-in token on your computer. Our basic website statistics use no cookies. Optional analytics cookies are set only if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time with “Privacy choices” at the bottom of every page. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states have similar rights; we do not sell or share personal data as those laws define it. Email info@linterx.com — we may need to confirm it is you. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

We protect data with measures suited to the risk, but no system is perfectly secure. Linterx is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here, and tell you by email or in the launcher before material changes take effect.
